Events Details

JUNGLE SAFARI (Dance)

  • Students to dress up as any animal character in the required costume

  • A set of songs will be given to the students

  • Students can select any one song from the given set of songs

  • Students need to create their own movements and perform the dance creatively (It could be a peacock, butterfly, tiger to name a few)

  • Duration of the performance: Not more than 2mins

  • Film songs in any form are not permitted

SWING N SING (Music)

  • TOPIC – Action songs

  • Students may select their song in any one of the following languages: English, Tamil, Hindi

  • Students need to sing the song with appropriate actions

  • Duration of the performance: Not more than 2mins

  • Film songs in any form are not permitted

Fête du. Théâtre (Dramatics)

  • TOPIC – Characterisation

  • Theme: Disguise as one of the following characters and speak their famous dialogues with appropriate intonations and expressions.

  1. Genie from Alladin

  2. Shrek from Shrek

  3. Woody from The toy story

  4. Anna from Frozen

  5. Maleficent from Sleeping beauty/Maleficent.

  6. Professor Albert Dumbledore from Harry Potter

  7. Gru from Despicable me

Events Details

MY FANTASY WORLD (Dance)

  • Dress up as your favourite Fantasy Character( Cindrella, Batman, Spiderman – to name a few)

  • A set of songs will be given to the students

  • Students can select any one song from the given set of songs in accordance with the Fantasy character chosen

  • Students need to create their own movements and perform based on the song chosen

  • Duration of the performance: Not more than 2mins

  • Film songs in any form are not permitted.

Folklore (Music)

  • TOPIC – Folk songs

  • Students can render folk songs in any one of the Indian regional languages

  • Karaoke of the song or Shruti box may be used for the performance

  • Lyrics of the song should be sent to the given email

  • Duration of the performance: Not more than 2mins

  • Film songs in any form are not permitted.

Events Details

DANCE TO THE BEAT (Dance)

  • A set of songs will be given to the students

  • Students can select any one song from the given set of songs

  • Students to come up with movements based on the genre of the song selected.

  • Students to ensure that the dance performed is restricted to only the genre selected (Classical/ western/ folk)

  • Duration of the performance: Not more than 2mins

  • Film songs in any form are not permitted.

  • Send your video recording in an mp4 format to: pavedance.gr3@omegaschools.org

BHAKTIMALA (Vocal Music)

  • Students can render Devotional songs in any one of the Indian regional languages

  • Karaoke of the song or Shruti box may be used for the performance.

  • Lyrics of the song should be sent to the given email

  • Film songs in any form are not permitted.

  • Students need to adapt to the rhythm and genre of the song and create their own movements based on the song selected

Fête du. Théâtre (Theatre)

  • Theme: Mono act.

  • Suggested topics: Select one of the following adages and weave a story with minimum two to maximum four characters (Including the narrator).

  1. Prevention is better than cure.

  2. Every cloud has a silver lining.

  3. A bird in hand is worth two in the bush.

[Mono act: Mono-action is all about a performance that is done by a sole person or by a single individual.  The individual plays numerous roles in an alternate manner in the same scene, each with a new and changed version.]

Grade-5

Kindly note that each child is allowed to participate in ONLY ONE event.

Guildelines / General Instructions

  • PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS EVENT IS A TALENT EXPO.

  • THIS IS NOT A COMPETITION.

  • PLEASE ENCOURAGE CHILDREN TO PARTICIPATE IN THE EVENT.

  • Each child is allowed to participate in ONLY ONE event.

  • Film songs in any form are not permitted.

  • Adhere to the theme and the time limit given.

  • Decent costume and appropriate make up is essential.

  • Plain white backdrop and appropriate lighting is mandatory.

  • Creativity will be appreciated.

  • For Dramatics, voice, intonations, physicality and spontaneity to be focussed on. (BGM/Sound effects – optional).

  • Sources should be credited (Reference materials/storybooks/ sound effects) at the end of the video.

  • Judges decision will be final. Disparagement of the judgment will not be entertained.

  • Video record your performance in landscape mode only.

  • Video format: mp4 ONLY.

  • PLEASE NAME YOUR FILE WITH THE NAME OF THE STUDENT AND THE ID NO. Eg – Dinesh_1156.

  • Please note that the videos of the students may be used by the school for the promotion of art education.

  • Last date for submission of videos is 5th of November, 2021.

  • Registration closes on 25th October, 2021.

Appreciation and Recognition

  • The best performers will be awarded E-certificates of appreciation and their videos will be presented to all the students during online sessions.

  • All the participants will receive an E-certificate of participation.
